Jack Sparrow

I love my cats I really do, but im starting to wear thin with all their little gifts the keep bringing home. Ive lost count now of the amount of birds, mice and butterfly's they have caught this year alone. Its becoming a regular habit to wake up to find a poor unfortunate bird dead on the floor just at the foot of my bed. Each time ive narrowly missed stamping on it. I guess I should still be thankful they have not left it in my bed!
In this post im going to introduce you to Jack, I think its only fitting that a bird so brave gets his two minutes of fame. Harley caught Jack yesterday morning, I was watching tv and I heard the most almighty squeeling, High pitched and frantic, jumping up from my seat I see Harley thrashing the poor bird from side to side, I managed to scare Harley into  letting go for a spilt second and Jack used all his mite to fly out the front door, only to crash and land. I thought he was dead, or dying, I sat back and watched from a far because I have seen birds just get up and fly once the shock has worn off. Jack didn't apear to do this so I dropped him off at the vets, the vet took a look at him and said that thankfully he is likely to survive, he had a wound just under his wing. He was transported to the bird sanitary late afternoon and with a little luck will be flying our sky's again in no time. Hopefully not over my house tho!

So why jack? Well I thought he was a sparrow. I was also told he could have been a thrush, but no he was neither and the vet confirmed he was in act a black bird .. if some what brown!
