Hulio

My poor Hulio ... has been poorly. Hes not been right for the last few days and today I could hold off no longer, a trip tpo the vet was  needed. Hes barley drank for the ;ast 48 hours and not touched food in a little longer. The vet thinks he may have a fur ball that he needs to pass she had given him two injections and I have some medician to give him .. so with a little luck my fluffy lion will be on the meand in no time. Its been very distressing seeing him so low. I descriebe his behaviour as pretty much that of a nosey dog, He comes when you call him, he hates to be alone will follow us all round the ouse, he sleeps on heads given the chance, genranlly he is a very sociable cat, on his terms .. but the last 48 hurs hes been different, quiet, still .. Very scary, its hard to know what to do when your fluffy one is in pain and cant tell you whats wrong.

Birthday

Oh to be 13 again ~ my beautiful little S celebrates her 13th betrothed with her friends by hosting a "birthday sleep over" The lead up to this has been so exciting for S and her girl friends. 5 lovely little girls who have been such sweet friends to Sammie over the years,We have little P who once lived just a few doors away, and would play out side in the alley for hours or come in and watch telly the two girls went to nursery together and little P would often set out on her walk just before us and make her mum wait for Sammie, is S wasn't going for what ever reason it would set little P into such a panic. P has since moved house but is still only 10 mins away and both the girls see each other at guides one a week.

She invited her friend T from next door, they have that typical childhood friendship that has seen lots of make up and break ups over the years, living so close can often mean the girls live in each others pockets, School together, after school play and sleep overs, This friendship is about to take a new step as the girls part and move on to different high schools.

J ~ She is probably Sammie's most missed friend, the girls had such a strong friendship in primary school but moving to different middle schools meant keeping in touch hasn't been easy, With J living in a different area and our paths not crossing on a regular basis, they have done well over the years to keep each other in the loops of their lives.S always has the biggest smile on her face when ever J is around, Both the girls will soon be reunited at high school, those years are going to bring many many changes for them both as they leave behind their childhood and enter their teenage years to adult hood,  one wish for them both is that this friendship will survive all these next few years will throw at them.

Chloe is my friend Debbie's little girl, she is a year older than S, Since Debbie and I met some 5 years or so ago now the girls have spent lots of time together and a firm friendship has formed, they have shared holidays together,Christmas party's, summer days, birthdays, pantos and many day trips out with our families. & last but not least she invited Sarah , Sarah is a friend who S met through gymnastics, the girls quickly formed a good friendship and became competition partners and many long exciting Gym competition travels meant the girls friendship just went to big heights that nothing was keeping them apart after they quit.

So Thirteen years ago, my 2nd daughter came into the world, with big brown eyes, these years have flown :~

Samantha means ::: listening and one who cares and gives there all to everyone else sometimes neglecting ourselves::: from the times she could sit it was clear she would follow in the traits of her name ...

S started the day off at home by opening her gifts, from me 13 token gifts with little messages attached to each and money for a new bike. From her sisters, some body cream , a pen set from her brother a drawing book. Her Grandad Fred arrived first thing and once her friend Sarah arrived he took the girls to town, treated S to her birthday gift - a Paul Frank bag and let her with some money in town. The girls had lunch followed by a bit of shopping before heading home for when her Dad and Georgi popped  to give her her gift of money, spend a little time with her and collect her siblings ready for her friends arrival. Those friends all started arriving from 3.45 P, J, T and not long after 4 came C .. From that point on S was the perfect party hostess making sure all her friends were happy, had enough to drink, were not left alone for too long and had equal time of talking with her, the first hour as her friends got reacquainted with each other was quiet exhausting for S .. but it all paid of as they soon were all giggling as one as they went off to the park, The evening was pizza dinner, cakes and lots of chocolate resulting in children who were awake all night playing games, watching movies and chatting, From what I hear Chlo got the most sleep taking in approx 3 hours, T & P managed about 30mins, my birthday babe a little over that and J & S nothing .. ME I think I managed about 4 hours of very broken sleep .. Strange sitting on the out side watching in, All the girls were very polite, very chatty, but clearly able to entertain them self's. ~  I believe everyone of them enjoyed them self's, my beautiful baby certainly did . . .

Easter break

Easter Holidays are just whizzing past, we've been so busy, the weather has just been on top form, sun shining warm and bright ... Had my niece and  ephew come to stay just for the night but they arrived early so we squeezed in two full days of out side fun.

Favourite things

 Happiness is being able to lay on the grass while soaking up the sun and to read ~ and this afternoon over at the park I got the chance to do just that while Little C and his little friend from next door played just opposite from where I lay in the park ... Im so grateful for this little bit of April sunshine ..

Time to tick ::: Another Mummy mile stone

So I reached another Mummy milesstone today ~ Today I let my little boy LEAVE the garden and go play up the field with his friends. ~ Its been a beautiful day, really lovely and the kids and I took a long walk first thing this morning, then came home for a second breakfast of pancakes. It was after this that they started going their own way .. S.L was off to the cinema with her friend T.T to Celebrate her 13th birthday, she was then going on for a birtday dinner and a sleep over. Big C headed out to meet some friends.

 The little girl next door knocked and her and middle C headed off to the park. Little C was sitting out the back talking A who was staying for a few days with his dad who lives next door ..& then it happened, A asked him " do you wanna come ride bikes at the field" and little C says "no I wont be allowed" .. "Im not allowed to go out the garden". ..  My heart was beating fast ... I new this was my moment when I just had to let him go, Its bothered me for a very long time, how unconfident C is on his bike, We take it out as often as we can but that never seems enough. I watch him play sometimes and I just feel something is missing, he needs this boy on boy play time. SO I DO IT .. I call him in and tell him he can go to the field, give him the all the safety warnings and watch him ride off with the biggest beaming smile on his face .. He loved it!

Like all small people after a relatively short while little C came in to see how far he could push me and asked to go over the park. What could I say the park is one road different to the field and its the road out side my front door ~ SO having made sure I drummed into his head a million times that he should never cross that road on his own ~ I crossed both the boys over .. and came home and paced the floor, home alone, all children in my care and OUT! .. Little C came back from the park  .  He spent most the afternoon going back and forth to the field, I only snuck up one time to check on him, I really didn't need to. He was in and out all day, wanting drinks, food and just to tell me how "this is the best day ever" and how much fun he is having.

Its joked that have shares in cling firm  & today this has been so difficult, Ive been here 3 times before and each time its hard but it seems to pull so much harder without the distraction of at least one or more little ones in doors too look after,I had no one here to "mother" 

BITTER SWEET MOMENT

another bitter sweet moment this evening, came when ~Little C and I sat down to remove the power ranger stickers from his bike .. hes had the bike a few years now and it is getting too Small, but we took the sticker off because he felt it was too babyish, he was feeling embarrassed by riding it .. We hired the seat and handle bars a little and gave it a little clean, tried to make it a little more big boyish .. at least until the time comes and he is able to get another bike ..

Blue Skies and warm sand ,,,

Yummy ice cream treat from nanny ...

Blue Skies and warm sand makes a perfect combination to take a pack up lunch and head on to the beach with my two babies .. With them in a tip top happy mood it was perfect and bumping into into my mum and have her join us on the sand for a while.

Mothers Day 2011

Just because its mothers day, It doesn't mean that the kids will be any different to any other day, in fact It means they are more hyped up and excited, and excited children tend to get silly and carried away with everything they do & Just because its mothers day doesn't mean I have to stand for rude stroppy children either ... but It is Mothers day and today just like every other day I ride the rough with the smooth and savour the precious moments and forgive the ones i' rather forget. I love my 4 growing chidren more than life it's self, They are my life everything I do is because of them .. I was woken this morning, hearing lots of noise coming from the kitech and two of the girls argued about it being too early to wake me, The vacuum was being put around the floors and lots of giggled and oud muttering could be heard from the stairs. On Mothers day its becoming tradition for me to stay in bed until officially woken and this awakening came just after 8ish .. 3 bouncing chilren and one sleepy one came into my room singing "Happy Mothers day to you" Where upon I was given a large cup of tea and some lovely presents, including, a bookmark made from Cayleb, A bath scrub made from Charday and Sam, a puzzle made from Charday, Sammy had given me some words ( peace) Crystal had brought me a candle, I also received a lovely bottle of wine and the very nice glass you can see in the pic above and a world best mummy plate, and some smellies for the bath, Some very lovely cards! Spoilt rotten I would say ..  We took a visit to my mums house and then we hit the beach for a picnic before we took a long stroll home via the woods ..  The afternoon was spent lazing in front of the tv. Having just had my 2nd bath of the day and poured my self a lovely glass of wine, im now off to relax back in front of the telly.
Im grateful everyday for what I have, but today on mothering sunday I appreciate more than ever just how lucky I am to have 4 healthy children and my mum, to have been able to visit my mum and spend the day with my children .,..  Not every mother or daugher is so lucky ...
